Taking a vacation can be a nightmare if you hold an important position in your office. That is, you’ll have tons of mail to answer to. Also, you will have to apologize to your clients for the late replies. These things make you think twice and finally, you end up cancelling your vacation.
Now, changing Outlook setting in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, you can setup automated mail messages to your clients. These configured Outlook setting responses are sent from your mail account and so, it maintains a level of intimacy between you and the receiver.
Outlook setting for auto reply messages
- Open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. Click Tools from the menu. From the drop down menu, select Out of Office Assistant.
- Activate the radio button to select “I am currently out of office”.
- In the empty box, “Autoreply only once to each sender with the following text”, give the text you would like to send to others who mail you.
- Click OK. The message is now ready and will be sent to people while you are unavailable.
Other Outlook setting options
That’s not all. In Outlook setting options, you can add rules to your automated response mails. Outlook setting options enables you to delete uninteresting mails right away so that you don’t even have to look through it. You can even configure Outlook setting options to forward your mails to someone else or file it away in specific folders.
To activate these options, after entering your content text, click Add rule and specify the options of your choice. Then click OK.
The required Outlook setting is now active in your system. Now you can start packing for the fun week ahead!!
