Outlook Settings to create Email Templates
Email templates are really time-savers. If you have regular email correspondence, try setting up email templates for each contact category. Personalize it with your signature, add a custom background and set default email openers; all with a few Outlook Settings. You only have to do this once, and all your new emails would reflect the new changes by default. Here’s how to save an email message and default Outlook settings for future emails.
- Compose a new message for your template. Under ‘Subject’ enter the desired template name.
- Add in your content in the email body. Click on the ‘Office button’ and hit ‘Save As’
- Under ‘Save as Type’, select ‘Outlook Template’ and enter your desired Template name.
- Finally, click ‘Save’.
Schedule Emails with Outlook Settings
I usually set my Outlook to get my mails at a particular time. I figured that if I scheduled my Outlook settings to bring in all my mails at the morning, just before lunch and towards the evening when I’m almost done, I save up on a lot of time. Otherwise I’d be receiving and replying to emails through the day. Now clients know that I only respond during those times. Simple Outlook settings in a few easy steps:
- Go to the message’s Options tab.
- Click the expansion button in the More Options field’s lower right corner.
- Make sure Do not deliver before is selected.
- Select the desired delivery date using the drop-down list.
- Click Close.

Outlook settings: Creating Rules
Outlook settings can be configured into rules. They act as filters, automatically moving, sorting or deleting emails before they hit your inbox.
