Use these Outlook settings and follow this specific method

It’s obvious that you’re about to add a new e-mail account in Outlook. So tap on ‘Add a new e-mail account’ under the Tool’s menu ‘Email Accounts.’ You must change your Outlook settings by clicking on ‘POP3’ option. Enter all the necessary details in the right boxes, like your full name and your Yahoo e-mail address.

Thereafter, enter these Outlook settings in the space provided. That is type in ‘pop.mail.yahoo.com’ in the Incoming Mail Server (POP3) box and ‘smtp.mail.yahoo.com’ in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Outlook settings box.

Outlook settings: Enter your Yahoo member ID and the password

Time for you to enter your e-mail ID, without the ‘@yahoo.com’ bit, in the user name text box; also type in your password. Now click ‘Test Account Settings’ and follow the prompts. Next type ‘Yahoo Mail’ in the ‘Mail Account’ text and expand on ‘Outgoing Server’ Outlook settings option.

Check on ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ box. Ensure that the box ‘Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)’ is not checked. Lastly, click on ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’ Outlook settings option and finish by hitting ‘Ok.’

There, you can now have the Yahoo mail experience in your Outlook.

      Hi Jose !
I got the same error message but it was resolved when i entered the correct POP & SMTP server address from the Yahoo Mail website. So you must check them or for more precise result, after configuring click on “Test Account Settings.”
Hope it will resolve your issue. Or you can share your email address so that i can send you screen shots for the same.

      Regards

    Hi !
A nice way to present the information. Short but sweet.
But its better if you cud provide the screen shots also in the reply so that even a layman can understand the process of configuration.
